Gibson ’61 SG Standard 2022 Vintage Cherry – Excellent Condition 9/10.

These classic guitars stand the test of time and sound phenomenal, representing great value for money too. These guitars feauture the fantastic sounding 60’s burstbuckers with a handwired harness which is a significant step up from the regular SG standard pickups and electronics. This one hasn’t seen too much use in its 2 years or so in existence and as such is in excellent condition with just the tiniest impression line of note between the pickups (see pictures).

The guitar sounds gorgeous plugged in and is really well balanced and resonant. It has the smaller 5 ply pickguard, larger headstock, vintage kluson tuners and neck joint at the 22nd fret as you would expect on a ’61.

In 1961, the Les Paul™ model was put on hiatus, and an all-new design evolved into what is today known as the SG™ or “solid guitar.” The Gibson SG Standard ’61 retains the styling of the original featuring a SlimTaper™ mahogany neck and a bound rosewood fingerboard.
