The latest Gibson Les Paul Standards are fantastic guitars and this one is no exception! It sounds great at 9.4lb and is in fabulous condition. It could quite easily hang in the shop as new with just the tiniest impression on the lower edge – only visible in certain lighting (see detail photo). With fantastic quality and attention to detail from the Gibson factory the latest ’60s model comes with the more popular slimmer neck profile and ’60’s pickups for a sound subtly different to that of the ’50s Standard.

The body of this model has zero weight relief, a bonus for Les Paul fans, some who believe the weight relief holes used by Gibson to remove the heft of a solid mahogany body, take with them some of the tone (we can neither confirm or deny this!). The Slim ’60’s neck on this guitar is super comfortable and really easy to play. The ’60’s Burstbucker Pickups sound fantastic and are well rounded, suited to playing Blues, Crunchy Rock, and everything in between.
