Weight:7.7lbs

Now 18 years old this Les Paul is in excellent condition, with absolutely nothing we can see to speak of other than normal finish ageing. There are no dings, dents or damage and the frets are in excellent shape with no wear. It is great example of a very well looked after and scarcely played instrument. The guitar is very resonant and sounds monstrous thanks to its weight relieved body. It’s a fantastic weight at 7.7lbs and very playable, stays in tune really well and is easy to keep in hand all night on stage.

The original Gibson hardcase, manual, check card and unfitted pickguard are included.

The 2008 Les Paul Standard was an elegant revision of a true classic. Upgrades and new features of the 2008 year make it unique, meaning in years to come it could likely become collectable.

Based on consumer feedback and a drive to uphold and enhance the legacy of the Les Paul Standard, Gibson decided to make some changes to the standard line in 2007/8. It begins at the neck, which features an enlarged neck tenon for maximum wood contact, and a new asymmetrical neck profile that makes it one of the most comfortable and playable necks ever offered. Locking Grover tuners with an improved gear ratio of 18:1 are also a first for the Les Paul with enhanced tuning stability.

Custom-made, gold-plated PCB potentiometers made by Bourns, give this Les Paul Standard a new level of sonic clarity and intensity. A set of Gibson’s Burstbucker Pro humbuckers deliver the powerful punch expected from a Les Paul, faithfully capturing the magic of Gibson’s legendary PAF pickups of the 1950 & 60s. A chambered mahogany body gives the 2009 Standard enhanced resonance, and an AA Maple cap pays homage to the iconic Les Pauls of the late 1950s.
