Gibson Les Paul Standard 1989 Heritage Cherry Sunburst – Excellent Vintage Condition 9.5/10

Here we have a beautiful time warp 1989 Gibson Les Paul Standard in exceptional condition for its 32 years or so in existence. These late 80’s Les Pauls are fantastic playing guitars and are re-known for impressive finish quality and excellent playability after the testing times of the Gibson “Norlin era”.

Plugged in the guitar sounds fantastic and really is a joy to play with the super comfy 60s slim taper profile neck. This Les Paul is completely original and unmodified with its 3 piece maple cap, exactly as it should be. The guitar has its original frets with little playwear and the electronics are completely stock along with the all original Bill Lawrence humbucking pickups. These sound a little little hotter than a typical PAF and make for some wonderful tones in these guitars. These Les Pauls we’re not weight relieved and as such has real resonance and warm tone.

This particular guitar has been really well finished and is staring to age gracefully as pictured. The hardwear is beignning to tarnish a little and the binding is beginning to yellow with the burst starting to darken a little. This really is one of the nicest post Norlin era Les Paul standards we’ve had for a while!
