Gibson Les Paul Custom 1998 35th Anniversary 3 Pickup Reissue Pre Historic. Mint NOS 9.99/10 vintage condition. This is a 33 year old guitar!!

Rare pre historic 1989 35th Anniversary 3 pickup Les Paul Custom reissue in unbelievable unplayed condition. The guitar has no marks, dings, checking or damage. The frets have no wear and even the cellophane is still present on the pickguard with the gold hardwear untarnished. These very rarely come up for sale, let alone in this kind of condition – a collectors dream!

The guitar was made four years before the Gibson Custom Shop (hence the pre-historic term) as a historic appointed anniversary model. These were to commemorate the anniversary of the Les Paul Custom, launched in 1954. The guitars made for the anniversary were based on a later model from the late 50’s we’d say between 57 & 59.

These guitars are re-known by players as being exceptional and very few were made. This particular guitar sounds fantastic as well as being so unbelievably clean. The late 80’s early 90’s was a great era for Gibson with them starting to experiment with reissue vintage models after the success of the Heritage series of guitars.

At the time Gibson were experimenting in Nashville to recreate some of the historic iconic guitars from the past, seeing how close to the originals they could get. This one is absolutely no exception and is one of the nicest Les Paul Custom reissues we’ve ever had in and without doubt going to keep going up in value.

Everything on the guitar is original and unmodified. There are no cracks, repairs, or issues. The neck is straight with no issues and plays great. The original frets are in new condition.
