One of the coolest guitars we’ve had in. This early two owner 1975 Les Paul Custom in the rare and highly sought after Wine Red colourway has the more desirable pre-74 specs and was made in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Being one of the earlier models it has the pancake mahogany body, a three piece mahogany neck with volute and a 3 piece maple cap. It is in exceptional condition for its age as you can see and without doubt the best condition pre-74 spec custom we’ve had in. Please do understand it is a used 50 year old vintage guitar with very light playwear, patina, blemishes, tarnishing to the hardware you’d expect from a sheltered life spent mostly in its case having hardly been played.

The guitar black-lights perfectly with no modifications, breaks, overspray or repairs. The frets are in fantastic shape with its original “wonder frets” and nibs intact. Please inspect the photos carefully as they are a really good reflection of the condition, we think you’d be pretty hard pressed to find a better condition custom from this era with the same level of originality.

The guitar is all original as far as we can tell. Unusually for these guitars the original frets, tailpiece, bridge, T-Top pickups, pots, capacitors and waffleback tuners are present. The guitar is super comfortable and easy to play with a medium profile three piece neck and dark ebony board.

It really does sound fantastic plugged in with its original “T Top” Patent Number pickups. The pots date to the final weeks of 1974 with original capacitors and untouched solder. The pots remain smooth and do not “crackle” or need replacing. The witch hat knobs are also original equipment.

This one really does have it all and we’ll be sad to see it go. A beautiful guitar in incredible condition, unmodified and no breaks or repairs. All the character and collectability you’d want from a vintage Les Paul!
