If you’ve read anything about these guitars you’ll know they offer a huge array of features with excellent value for money. Essentially a lightweight Les Paul Standard with improved features and performance at a reduced cost. These make fantastic gigging guitars and are excellent tonally.

This one is in fantastic condition aside from some very minor blemishes in the Nitro – these can only be seen in direct light and are very difficult to pick up on camera but we have tried our best! Aside from this the guitar is in excellent shape and has been very well looked after with only minor blemishes and a very tiny chip to the back as pictured – as you would expect on a well cared for used guitar. The Gibson 2014 Les Paul Classic is part of the 120 year anniversary range. Hand crafted in U.S.A, the Gibson 2014 Les Paul Classic looks to be a carbon copy of the Gibson Les Paul Standard model but closer inspection unveils some different features.Crafted from mahogany with a maple top, the body of the Gibson 2014 Les Paul Classic has an extremely desirable look. What you will instantly notice when you pick this guitar up is the difference in weight. Gibson have used what they call “traditional weight relief”. Basically this means the mahogany body is chambered to reduce the weight thus creating a much lighter feel when the guitar is strapped on.

The mahogany neck has a lovely 1960’s slim taper profile carrying a bound rosewood fingerboard.The Les Paul Classic carries two Gibson humbuckers. A ’57 Classic is used in the neck position and a hotter Super ’57 in the bridge. The volume of both pickups can be independently controlled with push-pull coil splitting, a built-in 15 dB boost on a mini-toggle switch, a master tone pot with Orange Drop capacitors, and a three-way selector switch. When it comes to tonal versatility the Gibson 2014 Les Paul Classic is hard to beat.

A chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece give the Gibson 2014 Les Paul Classic great resonance and sustain, while vintage tuners provide outstanding stability. Enlarged strap buttons are a new feature for the Gibson 2014 Les Paul Classic and they keep your guitar strap very secure. This may seem like a small detail but it will give you a lot more confidence especially if playing live. Vintage cream binding, pickguard, and pickup rings provide a visual link to the Les Pauls of the ’50s, while new Supreme Grip gold speed knobs keep you sure-fingered on the controls.

So, there you have it. The Gibson 2014 Les Paul Classic. An extremely well built, versatile Les Paul for the modern era.
