Gibson Custom Shop 1961 ’61 Les Paul SG Standard Historic Reissue. Factory Aged. 2013. Mint Condition 9.9/10.

These are not very often seen for sale, especially in the UK. This is a gorgeous factory aged 2013 ’61 Historic Spec SG from the Gibson Custom Shop. These guitars really do stand the test of time and sound phenomenal. This guitar hasn’t seen much play if at all in its 10 years or so in existence and as such is in fantastic condition.

The guitar sounds gorgeous plugged in as you would expect. 2013 was agreat year for Gibson with introduction of historically accurate Aniline dyes used, no sleeve truss rods and brand new handwound custombucker PAFs with bumblebee capacitors. All of these changes at the time added up to a much more historically accurate guitar with them sounding more and more like an original. This one really is no expection and you’d be hard pressed to tell them apart. The guitar is really well balanced and super resonant as you would expect up there with the very best in the Gibson custom shop line.

Gibson aged instruments typically feature the very best tonewoods and extra detail during the ageing process. Just check out the photos of the finish, aged hardware and the additional details such as paint fade, dings, checking etc.

The guitar plays beautifully and is nicely setup with 10s for the new owner.
