Gibson ES-335 DOT Re-Issue Tobacco Sunburst 1992 – Excellent condition – 9/10.

This particular guitar is a sought after Nashville made model and an absolute gem. Its been really well looked after in its 31years on the earth and features a beautiful subtle flame maple tobacco sunburst finish – If your looking for a 335 that stands out, this is the one. It has a beautiful tobacco burst and sounds fantastic with the ’57 classics (Our all time favourite Gibson pickups) with these earlier ’57 classics held in very high regard.

The guitar is a fantastic player and in excellent used condition with nothing to report. No significant dings, damage, dents or knocks other than the odd very minor blemish or signs of play as expected on a 31year old used guitar. The guitar is ageing beautifully with the Nickel hardware just starting to tarnish on the nickel tailpiece and bridge along with the grover machine heads. For a 31 year old used guitar it really hasn’t seen much use and has been very well looked after in its time.

Gibson spared no expense on woods for this creation – the Top and Back are a nice subtle flamed Maple with a really nice almost 3 Dimensional profile in different lights, making it very difficult to photograph. The back of this guitar is almost as good as the front!

All hardware is nickel aside from the pickup covers which is normal in this era, chrome pickup covers were frequently mixed with nickel components on higher end Gibson models during the early 90s. Neck length is 24 3/4 inches with a 1 11/16-inch nut width and features a 60s profile. Just really comfortable in hand. Plugged in it sounds great and is super versatile, just like the 335 was intended to be!
