Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 DOT Re-Issue Ebony 2011 – Excellent Condition – 8.5/10.

This particular guitar is an absolute gem, so difficult to photograph a black guitar but we tried our very best! If you are looking for a 335 that stands out, this is the one. It really sounds and feels fantastic in hand. The guitar weighs in at 8.8lb and is in excellent condition all round with no dings, damage, dents or knocks to speak of other than 2 very very minor 2mm impressions at the 4th & 5th fret on the bass side and one 1mm one in top, which is almost impossible to see… let alone photograph.

These are incredibly hard to spot and can only just be felt if you are looking for them, it’s impossible to say if its finish “sinking” or just where the guitar was leant on an amp once in its life. These are incredibly minor but for full disclosure we wanted to highlight them. Otherwise just the typical surface marks/micro scratches that you find on most used black guitars. These are impossible to capture on photographs due to the highly-reflective gloss finish.

The guitar is ageing beautifully with the Nickel hardware in excellent condition. For a 13 year old used guitar its not seen much use and has been very well looked after in its time.

The Gibson Custom shop spared no expense on woods for these creations. Much better quality in our opinion than the “standard” ES-335 they are putting out today.

All hardware is nickel, and there’s a classic ABR-1 bridge with a stopbar tailpiece. Neck length is 24 3/4 inches with a 1 11/16-inch nut width. All Gibson Memphis ES-335’s have the beautifully balanced ’57 Classic humbucking pickups (our favourite Gibson pickup), two volume pots, two tone pots, and a three-way pickup selector switch.

The original Gibson hardcase with shroud is included. Along with the original custom shop certificate & inspection card.
