If you need an iconic Les Paul that has aged beautifully and looks vintage this one is for you. If your looking at this you probably already know – these early custom shop guitars a re-known by many players as the holy grail of reissue Les Paul Customs and amongst some of the most beautiful guitars ever made.

This particular guitar is from 1999 and has been played and loved, but not abused. There is plenty of life left in the frets with some minor play-wear and natural ageing throughout the guitar. For us this just adds to it’s vintage appeal, plenty of checking, yellowing binding and the odd mark here and there. At the time these we’re the most historically accurate re-issues available and fewer numbers were built, meaning more care and attention to detail for every guitar leaving the custom shop. As such this era of Custom Shop guitars are now quite sought after, particularly as the tonewoods used in the era are scarcely available today.

The guitar features all the historic features you’d expect from an original 57 guitar. A completely solid one piece mahogany body and neck (only found on 57 les paul customs), solid Ebony fingerboard, 57 neck profile with 50’s “window” block inlays, 3 x ’57 Classic pickups with hand-wired harness and orange drop capacitors.

Note – certificates were not supplied in 1999 with custom shop guitars, aside from the 1999 50th Anniversary 1959 Historic Reissues.
