This is a gorgeous VOS 2019 ’61 Historic Spec SG from the Gibson Custom Shop. These guitars really do stand the test of time and sound phenomenal. This guitar hasn’t seen much play if at all in its 6 years or so in existence and as such is in fantastic condition with no marks or blemishes aside from the factory aged VOS treatment.

The guitar sounds gorgeous plugged in as you would expect. 2019 was a great year for Gibson with introduction of a less slanted Gibson logo, unpotted Custom Bucker pickups. Other updates included using paper-in-oil (PIO) capacitors and audio taper CTS pots, while super thin nitrocellulose finishes were applied. The 2019 models also featured Indian or Bolivian rosewood fretboards and were considered the most accurate reissues to date. All of these changes at the time added up to a much more historically accurate guitar with them sounding and feeling more and more like an original. This one really is no exception and you’d be hard pressed to tell them apart. The guitar is really well balanced and super resonant as you would expect up there with the very best in the Gibson custom shop line.
