Fender Custom Shop ’59 Reissue Esquire Relic 2013 3 Tone Sunburst – Excellent Condition – 9/10. 6.1lb!

A stunning Esquire courtesy of the Fender Custom Shop with the more unusual and sought after string thru body (CS 59 Esquires RIs are normally top loaders) and elegant 3 tone sunburst. This one has had some fabulous tonewoods selected and the more sought after Rosewood slab board. The guitar has beautiful grain and lovely attention to detail to the relic finish as well as weighing in at an unbelievable 6.1lb!

Plugged in the guitar sounds fabulous, it always surprises us how sometimes the simplest designs are amongst some of the best and most effective to dial in your desired tone. The string thru body adds fantastic tuning stability, intonation and sustain. This one is super resonant as you’d expect at this kind of weight, the lightest tele shaped guitar we’ve ever had in stock.

The guitar has been played and used but is in excellent condition and has been well looked after (like all guitars we source). This particular guitar has had it’s tone pots changed to CTS 250k pots as the originals we’re faulty (a change made using CTS, standard Fender equipment). We do not include the original pots. The saddles have been changed to brass, with the originals remaining in the case for improved intonation (steel saddles on these can be notoriously difficult to intonate properly. All in all very subtle changes that improve the guitars tone and versatility. These changes are reflected in the slight reduction in price.

The guitar includes the Custom Shop certificate from Fender, original case and documentation as shown in photos.
