Fender Custom Shop ’57 Reissue 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic 2015 Sherwood Green over Aztec Gold. Excellent Condition – 9.5/10.

Wow – what a guitar! This is one of the lightest (6.6lbs on our scales) and most accurate Relics we’ve seen pass through the shop in a while, fantastic attention to detail and could easily be mistaken for a real heavily played ’57 with a refinish. The guitar is in excellent used condition 9.5/10 (obviously excluding the heavy relic finish).

The guitar is all original and unmodified. It features a limited edition Sherwood Green over Aztec Gold paint finish with lovely flame maple neck. The neck profile is the a 57 soft V, lovely and comfortable for all hands and players. The flame quartersawn maple has amazing detailing and a true “played in feel” to the finish make for a beautifully comfortable neck. Its probably one of the nicest relics we’ve seen in a while. Fender got it right that day!

The guitar is very resonant and has that signature super versatile strat tone as it is spec’d with 3 x handwound pickups (please note we will update specs as we get them from Fender Custom). The sale includes the case and all candy in the images. Present is the certificate of authenticity and (tbc) shop floor traveller. The ageing and attention to detail on this one is sublime.

This strat is super light at around the 6.6lb mark on our scales and very resonant. With its Alder body and stunning 57 soft V shape flame maple neck the guitar has a lovely and comfortable feel to it. It has a thin and tastefully reliced Nitro finish with the usual heavy relic features. The more you play the more of the beautiful it’ll look! The guitar is very resonant, has fantastic response and superb performance across the board. A real delight to play as you would expect. Save yourself £1000+ on a new one!
