Fender Custom Shop 1950 ’50s Reissue Telecaster Custom Relic Double Bound Nocaster 2011 Sunburst. Excellent Condition 9/10.

A custom order 50 Telecaster Custom Relic in a super cool sunburst finish. This is one of a kind as far as we can tell with a completely custom specification. Being unique this one is a little different to others out there, with its beautifully aged sunburst relic finish, modern wiring, a twisted tele neck pickup and a broadcaster flat pole pickup in the bridge. Its a slinky player, light and resonant and features the super cool double bound ash body. You can cover a lot of tone with this one!

The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things at times and at 7.1lb this is one of them. The guitar just keeps ringing with its lightweight Ash body and rift-sawn one piece maple neck. The lightweight Ash body has some lovely grain showing through and is finished in a lush aged sunburst nitro lacquer with relic finish. The rift-sawn one piece Maple neck has a smooth very playable feel to it. With a 9.50″ radius and 21 frets, featuring a Nocaster U profile, it feels comfortable and robust just like a vintage Fender should, although we’d say it’s definitely a shallower U profile than we are used to, very comfortable and playable in the hand. Period correct appointments are used throughout the guitar with no modifications from the stock custom shop spec. The finish will wear beautifully over time and develop even more of its own character the more you play it.

The Telecaster design is considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar and the Custom Shop ’50 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele’ twang. With modern wiring, a twisted tele custom shop pickup in the neck and a broadcaster flat pole in the bridge it has a lot of tonal options compared to the usual specs on these guitars. A super versatile and lush sounding guitar!
