This 1991 Gibson Firebird V features the iconic reverse-body design that has made the Firebird a firm favourite among guitarists since its introduction in the 1960s. This guitar is in incredible time warp factory original condition with all hangtags and original case. It has been played a handful of times when it was bought new and lived in its case ever since. There are no blemishes to speak of, adding to the exclusivity, rarity and desirability of the instrument. Even the cellophane is still in place on the control cavity!

The guitar is beautifully resonant and really easy to play with it’s comfortable C neck profile. The mahogany body and neck-through construction add to it’s excellent resonance and sustain, while the iconic Firebird-style headstock and banjo-style tuners complete the Firebird V’s distinctive look.

Equipped with a pair of powerful 495R & 495T mini-humbucking pickups this Firebird delivers a smooth but full tone with plenty of clarity and sustain. These pickups are re-known for great treble response, a bit like a single coil. Perfect for cutting through the mix with vintage warmth and modern punch.
